Camelia Bulat holds over twenty years of experience working across non-profit, public and private sectors in transition economies. Her expertise is two folded: managing international projects on behalf of donors, and engaging in reform oriented programs that advance economic and political transformation of countries in transition. Camelia has worked intensively to promote public accountability, transparency, and citizens’ participation in the decision-making process in Eastern Europe, Caucasus, South-Asia, South-East Asia, Northern Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a MBA from Open University, UK, a B.Sc. in biochemistry from the University of Bucharest, Romania, a Certificate in Nonprofit Organization Management from the Institute for Organization Management, USA, and an international certification in compliance and ethics (CCEP-I) from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, USA. Camelia is also an entrepreneur - in 2006 she started Ubicons International, a training and consulting company that provides services in Romania and neighboring countries. Camelia is an active member of the Professional Women Network Romania, the Vice-President of the Professional Lobby Specialists Corps, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Free Enterprise and Democracy Network (FEDN) at CIPE.
